4 Day Ecstatic Prāṇāyāma Retreat

A journey to awaken the natural intelligence of the breath, restore balance to the nervous system, and return to the quiet joy of being alive.

What is Ecstatic Pranayama?

Ecstatic Pranayama is a transformative breathwork practice rooted in the ancient science of prāna, the vital life force that sustains all living beings.

It combines classical yogic breathing techniques with modern awareness based methods to awaken and expand energy within the body.

Through conscious breathing, rhythmic patterns and inner focus, this practice clears energetic blockages, balances the nervous system, and opens the gateway to higher states of presence, clarity and bliss.

What is Prāna?

In yogic philosophy, prāna is the subtle current of life, the invisible force flowing through every breath, thought and heartbeat. When prāna moves freely, vitality, joy, and peace naturally arise.

The Ecstatic Pranayama Retreat is an exploration of this living energy, where breath becomes a bridge between the physical and the spiritual, and awareness expands into the ecstatic flow of life itself.

His journey began at the age of seven, attending temple yoga sessions with his family, a sacred introduction that awakened a lifelong dedication to self-realization and holistic living. Rooted in the traditional teachings of Haṭha Yoga, Naturopathy, and Yoga Therapy, Anandan’s approach integrates ancient wisdom with practical tools for modern life.

His deep connection to Prāṇāyāma has expanded beyond the mat into the water, guiding his exploration of freediving and SUP (Stand Up Paddle) athletics, where he represents India in the World Championships since 2023. Through these practices, Anandan embodies the union of breath, movement, and stillness, bridging yogic awareness with the natural elements.

With his calm presence and intuitive understanding of alignment, breath, and energy, he guides students toward balance, vitality, and inner freedom.

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS:

Laura Rodenas, trained in Prāṇāyāma under the direct guidance of B.N.S. Iyengar, one of the last living masters from the Mysore tradition, she embodies a profound integration of breath, stillness, and embodied awareness.

Rooted in the Vipassanā lineage of Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw and the Vedānta teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga under Swami Taponidhi, her approach unites the depth of self-inquiry with the precision of traditional yogic practice.

Her journey began in childhood, guided by her grandmother’s devotion, and deepened at sixteen when her uncle introduced her to Sufi and Buddhist teachings. This inner calling led her to live among monks and nuns in monasteries across Sri Lanka, India, and Spain, and to study in Indian ashrams with revered teachers such as Yogacharya Kadambari, Swami Taponidhi, and Vijay Kumar.

Through years of self-inquiry, devotion, and silence, Laura came to the realization that everything we seek is already within, we only need to remember. Today, her presence reflects the clarity of mindfulness and the grace of embodied awareness, guiding others on the path of self-realization and inner freedom.

Frederieke Klaassen, March 2025

"Grounding and deeply inspiring"

"I had the most beautiful days at Yogi’s Garden a place that feels alive with nature, peace, and kindness. Joining the Ecstatic Prāṇāyāma Retreat with Anand was such a powerful experience. His way of guiding the breath work, and even the ice bath, made me feel completely safe and open to explore. It was both grounding and deeply inspiring.

I also joined Laura’s Hip-Opening and Eye Yoga sessions, and both were incredible. The hip session helped me release so much tension I didn’t even realize I was holding, and the Eye Yoga showed me how much healing is possible with simple awareness and practice.

Yogi’s Garden is more than a retreat — it’s a space where you reconnect with yourself. The people, the food, the energy... everything feels infused with care. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and truly grateful. A piece of my heart will always stay there. 💛"
