Deep Hip Opening Method™ Training
Train in Somatic & Trauma Release, DHO™ offers a wide range of training and events.

Transform your ability to resolve trauma and chronic stress.
The DHO™ Training program is a dynamic continuing education certificate program designed to support you in making a profound difference with those suffering from trauma or chronic stress.
A journey of integration and discernment, where presence becomes the primary tool. Through classical yoga, somatic awareness, sound, breath, and ethical facilitation, we explore how to navigate physical tension, emotional patterns, and mental conditioning without force, catharsis or bypass.
We will enter the living landscape of the nervous system, fascia, joints, breath, and perception, exploring how trauma, stress, and adaptation shape the way we move, feel, and relate. Stillness and movement are approached as equally intelligent gateways to regulation, clarity, and embodied trust.
This is a deep immersion into embodiment as responsibility.
Learning how to listen, respond, and teach with precision and humility.
Why DHO™?
The Deep Hip Opening Method Training offers a comprehensive framework for understanding how the body stores and releases stress, tension, and unresolved emotional patterns.
This training is rooted in direct experience. Rather than focusing only on theory, it guides participants through practical explorations that cultivate a deeper sensitivity to the body and its subtle signals. Through this experiential approach, students develop skills that can be immediately applied within their professional work or personal practice.
The program combines theoretical teachings with embodied learning. Participants engage in guided practices, live demonstrations, partner exercises, case explorations, and reflective study. These elements support the development of somatic awareness and help practitioners recognize how patterns of tension, protection, and release unfold within the body.
Because this work requires both personal embodiment and practical understanding, the training also emphasizes direct experience. Participants are encouraged to explore the method within their own bodies, cultivating the capacity for self-regulation, presence, and attuned guidance when working with others.
The Deep Hip Opening Method focuses on the hips and pelvic space as key areas where the body often holds protective tension related to stress, emotional experiences, and life events. By gently engaging with these areas through somatic awareness, breath, movement, and guided release processes, the method supports the restoration of natural mobility and nervous system balance.
As the nervous system begins to regulate, changes may emerge across multiple layers of experience: physical, emotional and psychological. Practitioners may integrate these tools in fields such as yoga, bodywork, movement therapy, coaching, trauma-informed care, and holistic wellbeing practices.
Through this training, students learn how to support the body’s innate capacity to release stored tension, restore regulation, and reconnect with a deeper sense of safety and vitality.

TRAINING CURRICULUM & TIMELINE
The Deep Hip Opening Method Training is taught through a combination of theoretical guidance, live demonstrations, and experiential practice. Participants learn not only by studying the concepts of the method, but also through direct exploration of the body and collaborative practice with other students.
The program is organized into a series of immersive training modules, each lasting several days. These modules are spaced over an extended period of time, allowing participants to gradually deepen their understanding while integrating the practices into their personal and professional lives.
Each module builds upon the previous one, creating a progressive learning journey. For this reason, participants are encouraged to follow the training in sequence so that the foundational principles of the method can be embodied before moving into more advanced applications.
Because the Deep Hip Opening Method is rooted in somatic awareness and nervous system regulation, the learning process unfolds over time. Periods between modules provide space for integration, personal practice, and reflection. This pacing supports students in developing a deeper sensitivity to the body and a more refined capacity to guide the work with others.
In certain situations where a participant is unable to attend a scheduled module, additional learning resources may be offered to help them stay connected with the progression of the training, depending on availability and program guidelines.
Through this gradual and embodied approach, students develop both the theoretical understanding and the experiential confidence necessary to apply the Deep Hip Opening Method in their own practice.

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS:

Laura Rodenas, rooted in the Vipassanā lineage of Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw and the Vedānta teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga under Swamiji Taponidhi, embodies a rare synthesis of depth, stillness, and embodied presence.
Her journey into yoga began in childhood, guided by her grandmother’s gentle wisdom and devotion. At sixteen, her uncle opened the doorway to Sufi and Buddhist teachings, planting the seeds of a lifelong inner quest. This search for truth led her to live among monks and nuns in monasteries across Sri Lanka, India, and Spain, and to study in Indian ashrams with revered teachers such as B.N.S. Iyengar, Yogacharya Kadambari, Swami Taponidhi and Vijay Kumar.
Through years of self-inquiry, devotion, and silence, Laura came to the luminous realization that everything we seek is already within us, we only need to remember. Her presence carries the clarity of mindfulness and the grace of embodied awareness, guiding students into direct experience rather than conceptual understanding.
Through silence, meditation, and gentle yet profound guidance, Laura invites students to awaken inner wisdom, dissolve identification with the mind, and rest in the natural peace of being. Though the spirit of seeking remains an intimate part of her essence, she now dedicates her life to supporting others on their journey of self-realization and inner freedom.
